Triumph recently launched the new Bonneville T100 and T120 Black Editions in India, price starting at Rs. 8.87 lakh and 9.97 lakh (ex-showroom, India) respectively. Company has opened booking for both models across India. Interestingly, both the bikes are priced the same as their standard models.
Usually the Black Editions of the Bonneville T range feature blacked out components instead of chrome painting that’s on the standard models. The components include wheels, headlamp rim, mirrors, twin pea-shooter exhaust, and black engine. The T120 Black also gets a brown seat and black grab rail to differentiate it from its lower power sibling T100.
The liberal use of black all over the classic pattern aims to add a touch up of modernity and will apply to those who don’t like the shiny chrome on their bike which ends up with water drop marks.
The Triumph Bonneville T100 and Bonneville T120 Black editions feature a double cradle chassis, front telescopic forks and tweaked rear suspension with a better bump absorption, suitable for longer drives, says Triumph.
Triumph Bonneville T100 Black has a 900cc parallel-twin engine that produces 55hp of peak power and 77Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, Bonneville T120 is powered by a 1,200cc, parallel-twin engine that makes 80hp and 104Nm of peak torque.
Like the other Triumph’s modern classic collection, the Bonneville T100 and T120 Black get an electronic safety in the form of switchable traction control and dual-channel ABS. The Bonneville T120 also gets two riding modes, Road and Rain. Other popular features include an engine immobilizer, USB charging port and ride-by-wire; the T120 also gets heated grips.
The Bonneville T100 Black is available in two colours, Matte Black and Jet Black. While the T120 is available in Matte Graphite and Jet Black.
