Flax Seeds: For skincare and haircare

Flax Seeds: these seeds are commonly used as a stool softener to help with costiveness.

But did you know these seeds also offer a surplus of skincare goods? Flax seeds for the skin are unbelievable as they boost nourishment, making skin look glowing and healthy hence they are the powerhouse to beauty.

For hair, flax seeds help in making the hair silky and bringing back the original shine and volume. Hold on to all the benefits of flax seeds for the skin and hair. The omega-3 fatty acids help your skin with more hydration and keep the dampness inside.

Plus, it has a string that can also speed up the skin’s recovery process. Thus, using flax seeds to the face can battle skin irritation, redness, rashes, while encouraging skin cells to regenerate more swiftly.

To pamper dry skin, you can make a nourishing face pack using flax seeds. These seeds have moisturizing properties, all thanks to the fatty acids that help to keep dry skin afar.

  1. Combine flax seed powder with water to develop a gel. 
  2. Apply the gel on the face and affected areas, leaving it to wilt for at least 15 minutes. 
  3. Once it dries, wash it off with water and tap dry. 

The skin on your face should feel tight and firm. The flax seeds work in reducing the size of open pores on the face by reducing the secretion of excess oil and bidding farewell to stubborn acne.

Also, a salutary source of B group vitamins, flax seeds promote hair growth. Vitamin E present in flax seeds gets rid of the free radicals present in the scalp. It also returns the lost luster to the hair and reduces hair fall. 

Flax seeds, when strained as an oil form, aid in reducing dandruff positively by adding much-needed moisture to the hair. It helps in keeping the scalp nourished, clean, and moisturized. These seeds are highly nutritious and are rich in minerals. They prevent hair damage by developing the elasticity of the hair strands, to an end improving the overall quality of the hair, keeping them healthy and long.

Mix a fourth cup of flaxseeds with 2 cups of water and heat it in a small pot until it boils. A few minutes later, you will notice the water occurring to form a slick gel blend. Keep heating until the gel is at the perfect consistency. It should neither be too thin and liquid nor too thick and pasty. Squeeze the gel out of the flax seeds into a container using a straining cloth.

And Voila! Your gel is ready. You can either keep it covered in a container or store it in the fridge. Apply on your hair before every wash and leave it for 30 minutes.
