The Gunjan Saxena Kargil Girl is a story about the first-ever Indian female pilot in combat. The movie carries through the emotion of a girl whose only dream is to become a pilot and is very adamant about changing her decision in choosing a career.
With the full support from her father, Gunjan Saxena gets selected for the training process and is been sent to the Air Force station base for her further training, but surprisingly, she realizes that she is the only female officer in the camp.
She manages to survive in that base which was never been built for women – not even a women’s toilet is available.
She gets demotivated in between because of a lack of support from her team and gets back home.
She is later being motivated by her father when he says ‘yeh sirf teri nahi hum dono ki haar hai‘ and then she decides to get back to the base.
Once she is back on the base, she is been sent to the war camp at Kargil to help and then the actual fight begins.
She finally manages to lead a mission that was embedded with high risk. Later, in the same way, carries out 40 more missions and contributes her part in India’s victory of The Kargil War 1999.
The movie is a perfect blend of emotions and how everyone portrays them to the audience.
The spirit of becoming a pilot in the character is carried throughout the movie.
The movie also portrays the detailed relation of the girl with her father and her brother.
Finally, the movie is a solid biopic that is absolutely engaging and thrilling from the start to the end and keeps the viewer’s eyes glued to the screen. Worth watching and you can watch in Netflix
