How well it is to prepare question papers for ourselves? IIT Goa had asked the students to set their own question paper. Sounds absurd and surprising right?, Well, let’s examine the whole matter explicitly.
On the hardships of the second wave of the pandemic, many college students across the country are pursuing the higher authorities to cancel the end-term exams, as they have conducted almost every class online.
IIT Goa had shown up with a unique way of conducting examination by observing the hardships of the students faced during the pandemic. So the paper was about Analogy Circuits subject and comprises 2 questions. The first question was of 30 marks in which they instructed students to prepare questions for 60 marks from the entire syllabus of 30 lectures provided to the students during the entire session.
They clearly stated that it should reflect your understanding about the course & also they should complete the exam in 2 hours.
The question further instructs that to avoid discussion with your friends; it may reduce your score if they find similarities. And the second question was of 40 marks that clearly states to answer the questions they have prepared for the first part.
This unique method of IIT Goa has gained countless comments from the netizens. Some appreciated, and some criticized according to few social media users who lauded this exclusive mode of examination.
It is difficult to form questions & then answer them by yourself as it will be the test of their integrity too and this will help the institutes to analyze the course of understanding a student has developed with the subject during the online classes.
Witnessing this, other college students are also raising their requests to their respective institutions to conduct a similar mode of examination.
