Work from home has now become the new normal for all the employees exclusively those who work in the private sector.
In India big companies like TCS, Infosys, HCL Tech, Wipro, etc. have released their new statistics about how their employees are allowed to work from home and also how it’s showing the effect on the company in terms of productivity.
In a recent interview with Business Insider, Tech Mahindra’s CFO stated that the company wants 25-30% of its employees to work from home permanently by June 2021 which also means there will be a change in policies and facilities.
The company is trying to bring in a new model of the work process to attract new talent.
Also, other IT companies shared their Work From Home ratios where TCS stated that 99% of its employees are working from home, Infosys 95%, HCL Tech 96%, and Wipro 95%.
Google also informed it’s employee’s that they can work from for the next year i.e July 2021.
Now the question arises about what kind of facilities are the companies going to provide.
What kind of new policies are they going to come up with and how will they track the productivity of their employees.
And most importantly how is this going to affect the employees mentally? Some of the employees may be very new to this kind of work process and also, they might get distracted sometimes working home due to the disturbances by the family members.
It is beneficial for the employees who travel long distances to reach their workplace as they can now avoid that traveling and save time.
India’s one of the biggest IT company TCS announced its future plan stating that 25% of its employees will be working from home and will spend 25% of their time in the office.
Also, HCL Tech follows Infosys and announces that 50% of its employees will work from home and the other 50% from office for the next 12-18 months.
This sounds really very interesting and is also a smart move by the companies to support the current situation and also provide extra advantages to the employees.
So do let us know about your thoughts on the new initiatives taken by the companies!!
