SBI pension Seva is an online portal that enables pensioners of SBI to check their pension-related details instantly.
SBI pension Seva also has a website that monitors the management of SBI in accepting life certificates of pensioners operating through its various branches.
It is mandatory for every person to availing pension benefit to submit proof of life in November of every year to receive the monetary benefit.
The submission of the life certificate could be done through the online portal of pension Seva or Jeevan Praman Patra at its bank branches by the end of December.
There are four different methods to have the process done, manual submission, digital submission, the virtual mode through UMANG app, or generate life certificate through Aadhar Seva Kendra in different parts of our country.
It is clear that the pension is given to all the senior citizens and in India under government schemes to aid their financial well being or it remains a return of gratitude earned for their service towards their work.
This process involved to avail pension stays so tedious. Earlier we have seen a 100-year-old lady dragged by her daughter on the bed to submit proof of life, The rules made shall ease the life of people, but it is quite challenging to understand and utilize the existing facilities since the digital procedures remain hard to practice right from having updates of biometrics for Aadhar.
Minute amendments could deal with these challenges, and change is good so far, the pension Seva involves transparent procedures to pensioners about their account details and with the emerging COVID -19 situation, the government also extended dates for submission of life certificates till 31 st December.
