Surya – if you are from a middle-class family living with hard working parents and have your own family problems then you would totally relate yourself with this character and the series. After gaining huge popularity and fame from his recent Telugu web series The Software Dev’love’per, Shanmukh Jaswanth has signed up for another Telugu web series with the same Director Subbu.K and this series is trending again with millions of views on YouTube within few hours of the episodes being released.
Surya – a romantic comedy entertainer. Series with a storyline in which every character can be related to our people in our own lives and the hardships and challenges one family faces. The most important part is engineering students relating to the main character (Surya) and his struggles to find a job for himself after four years of graduation and with a supportive girlfriend being with him at all the times.
A web series loaded with many emotions will get you connected with the characters and people involved. Surya being a shy person who thinks a lot before making decisions, loves his girlfriend way too much and always ends up in a situation loaded with difficulties, Surya’s father being the bread earner and with a nature to do anything for his family, mother who sacrifices everything for her family, sister who drops her dreams of working just for her family, girlfriend who supports Surya emotionally, financially and makes sure they are together through thick and thin and friends being friends who are mischievous all time but come to support when needed.
The emotions being expressed, the dialogues, the screenplay and direction of the web series is so beautifully scripted and shot that you would not want to take your eyes off the screen while watching the series. And trust me the BGM(background music) from the series would reverberate within you for long after watching the episodes and you would fall in love with the little moments from the series filled with various emotions.
The series totally has 10 episodes. It starts off with Surya’s Birthday celebration by his sister. In this episode there is a clear introduction given to all the characters in the series and ends with Surya coming home drunk after his birthday celebration leaving his dad in anger.
Later Surya’s dad and Surya have some serious conversations about life. Surya’s girlfriend comes to work and live in Hyderabad and Surya gets excited to meet her and spend time with her but gets a little disappointed when he overhears a conversation between his girlfriend and her father about him finding matches to get her married. Surya’s father feels sad about his less earnings and hopes for Surya getting a good job. Surya and Meghana have a nice brother and sister moment when he takes her out and introduces her to his girlfriend. In the coming days Surya’s girlfriend helps him in learning new skills to get a desired job.
After a lot of hard work Surya gets an interview call but loses the opportunity to get a job as he lacked to meet the selection criteria requirements. Surya’s father gets worried and becomes tense as he is in a state where he cannot repay his debts. To get a job Surya takes a fake experience letter and gets caught in one of the interviews his brother suggested.
To repay the amount paid for the letter he takes away money from his home which his father collected to clear the debts leaving the family members in deep sorrow. A small trip with his girlfriend brings him out of the pain which he was going through. Later he joins an internship with a hope of getting a job after but things do not go as planned.
In this process Surya meet’s his girlfriend’s father and assures him of getting a job and marrying his daughter. He attends another interview this time well prepared but loses his chance of getting a good job again due to unexpected reasons and leaves Surya in a painful situation.
Now the public is waiting to watch how the series will end. Will Surya make a success treaty with his life and settle down with a good career ahead or will his bad luck travel all along with him in his future. Will he marry his girlfriend or will he end up losing her in the race to win in his life? Some part of the audience is expecting a part 2 sequel for the series after the last episode is released but the makers have not made any announcements. So, the final episode of the Surya web series with Shanmukh Jaswanth as a main lead is all set to release on 7th July 2021 on YouTube.
