Triumph launched all-new Tiger 900 range in three variants GT, Rally, Rally Pro in India. The Tiger GT is priced at Rs 13.7 lakh, Rally (Rs 14.35 lakh) and the top-end Rally Pro (Rs 15.5 lakh). Company’s dealerships across the country are now officially started accepting bookings.
Engine and Bodyframe
The Tiger 900 is all new motorcycle that replaces the most popular Tiger 800. All three variants share the same bodywork, chassis, bolt-on subframe, and a new 888cc three-cylinder engine. The engine produces 94hp of peak power and 87Nm of peak torque and features a unique 1-3-2 firing order that gives it an entirely unique character compared to the previous model.
Variants Explained
Suspension
The major changes are in the suspension. Triumph Tiger 900 GT features a 45mm USD fork with rebound damping and compression, and the rear monoshock suspension with preload and rebound adjustability. GT offers 180mm of wheel travel at the front and 170mm at the rear. The Triumph Tiger 900 Rally and Rally Pro gets the suspension hardware from Showa with a fully adjustable 45mm USD fork and monoshock, offering 240mm and 230mm of wheel travel, respectively.
Brakes
The entire Tiger 900 range features Brembo Stylema brakes with four piston calipers and 320mm dual disc plates at the front and a single piston caliper with a 255mm single disc plate at the rear.
Electronics
Coming to the Electronics, the Triumph GT and Rally comes with Sport, Road, Off-road and Rain riding modes, while the top-end Rally Pro offers additional Rider-configurable and Off-road Pro modes. The Triumph Rally Pro also comes equipped with LED fog lamps, bi-directional quickshifter, heated rider and pillion seats, tyre pressure moniter and My Triumph connectivity system.
All three Triumph Tiger variants share the same 7.0-inch TFT instrument screen, IMU-based cornering ABS and traction control, along with a 20-litre fuel tank.
