Cryotherapy, which means “Cold Therapy”. It is a precise strategy where the body is exposed to extremely cold temperatures for few minutes. Cryotherapy can be done the localized area of a body or entire body of an individual. In Cryotherapy, a probe is inserted into the tissue next to the affected nerve. The temperature of the probe drops to then effectively freeze the nerve. The freezing inactivates the nerve and, as a result, painful nerve irritation is relieved.

Cryotherapy is a relatively safe and effective means of treating localized nerve irritation. It can also treat abnormal cells in the body which causes cancer or tumor growth. Cryotherapy uses nitrogen or argon gas to create extremely cold temperatures to destroy diseased tissue.
