What is Face Yoga? Know how face yoga can improve your appearance

Face yoga

You know that exercise keeps you looking and holding your best. But can extending activity to your face also have similar effects? Your face is the first thing that people look forward to.Perhaps. That’s the idea after Face yoga, a growing drift that claims to deliver skin-lifting effects without surgery, pointers, or even fancy skin-care products. So, how does Face yoga works? Let’s know.

What Is Face Yoga?

Yoga is just a popular way to say facial exercises that move the muscles on your face into certain features — sort of like yoga for your body. Doing these actions will keep your face looking toned and fresh, lifting areas that are sagging from your face.

Of course, you move your face every day (grinning, conversing). But the point here is a purpose; like a yoga course, you’re focusing on precise muscles, restoring them as you confine the movement. So many muscles are all linked. You just have to know which muscles you are directing on and how you want to move your face muscles particularly.

Most of us hold tension in our faces, either in facial expressions or too much screen time. Well, facial yoga aims to create a moment of self-care where you can improve blood flow for a healthy glow and reduce stress and strain in your face. Eventually release tension, which can minimize the appearance of stress lines, stimulate and tone facial muscles to improve your outlook better than before.

Yoga Exercises for Glowing and Uplifted face:

Neck and jawline: This pose tone’s the neck area as the neck and jaw are connected by the platysma muscle. It will stretch and also tone your jawline.

Start by relaxing your shoulders, move your chin to one side, lightly up at a 45-degree angle. Gather your lips into an “O” position. Stay for 10 seconds, take long breaths, simultaneously switch sides, and repeat two times for 30 seconds on each side.

Temple and side ups: Practically called “the instant pick me up”.

As per the name, this pose embraces the energy around your surroundings just like doing meditation. (usually best done in the morning)

Lay your fingers in a downward V-shape on the forehead, picking up slightly. Maintaining your shoulders comfortably and chin slightly up, inhale and exhale slowly. Run the palms down the sides of the face, closing your eyes and reveling in the response. Repeat thrice for 30 seconds to soothe the muscles.

Cheek sculpting: Cheeks falling flat doesn’t give a regal look to your face. This process helps in lifting your blush piece radiantly.

Smile without exposing your teeth. Smile with the rims of your mouth so you feel a small burn in the corners of your mouth. Rush your index fingers onto the corners, sliding till cheekbones as you roll into the muscle. Hold for 20 seconds, feel the muscles tightening in your cheeks and repeat three times.

Together they come as plus and minuses. Facial yoga has potential risks. Practicing face yoga as your go-to anti-aging routine may backfire, too.

Misshaping your face in these ways can lead to more wrinkles. For example, forehead wrinkles result from constant facial muscle activity, such as pouting or smiling, or staring. If done too harshly or incorrectly, facial yoga may stimulate the signs of aging.

“The outer transformation is often accompanied by the feeling of boldness and confidence”. Face yoga exactly helps you build confidence by healing you in and out. Just like yoga, it will take a good period to positively reflect your practice. Engaging yourself in this drill gives you a calmer and happier lifestyle.
