2,400-Year-Old Mummy which was displayed in Albert Hall Museum in Jaipur was rescued from the floods and unboxed after 130 years safely.
The heavy rain on the 14th of August this year in Jaipur made the staff members of the museum run to the basement area and unbox the ancient mummy from a glass chamber.
In the situation, many files and monuments were drowned but the staff members managed to rescue the ancient mummy safely. The mummy is a female member of a priest’s family from Egypt in the period of 322 BC to 30 BC.
The Mummy was imported by the ruler of Jaipur, Sawai Ishwar, from Cairo in the year 1887.
Later the Albert Hall Museum started displaying it to the public from the year 2016.
Since then it is being called Jaipur mummy in India.
Sources say that the mummy was safe but the coffin was damaged by the mud water due to heavy rain and around 17,000 antiquities were also affected.
And the ancient Egyptian mummy unboxed went viral with the tag line 2,400-year-old mummy breathes fresh air in Jaipur and the video of the rescued mummy surfaces on social media.
