You would have listened to the village Uddanam which is in Andhra Pradesh. Every person in that village is suffering from Kidney diseases for ages and no one actually cared about them until the situation over there heated up and went to the international level and 30 Deaths.
Many doctors have come to the village and they are helping them out with many health campaigns. Not very soon, but they’ll be cured one day, as the issue went out seriously.
Is Uddanam, the only village suffering from this issue? Hell no! We know about Uddanam but we don’t know that there is a village that is sacrificing the lives of many for the same reason and as we expect, no one cares. I’m talking about the village Potupalem near Nellore in Andhra Pradesh.
In this village, each and every house carry a certificate of sickness. 30 of them died in the last five years from this village alone. Not a big number but they are dying with the same disease, which has to be checked again. At present hundreds of them are suffering from kidney diseases. And each infected person needs dialysis twice every week.
And the pension they get is far away from the cost of their medicines. Apart from the suffering, the people from that village cannot afford the treatment cost.
We faced a major loss of lives in Uddanam village as no one responded in time, I hope the government will now check about the people’s health in Potupalem. Hope it happens before we see any further Deaths.
