Amazon launched a new video streaming platform for its users inside the Amazon Shopping application called miniTV. This free video streaming service is now live on the Latest App for Android users. I couldn’t find the same in ios application(Apple users)
This service is available for free and currently shows select web series, comedy shows, and lifestyle videos. The web series section majorly comprises videos of “The Viral Fever” (TVF) at the moment. The section on lifestyle comprises videos from influencers from the fashion industry as Anaysa, Sejal Kumar, etc
It also has Technology related content from Trakin tech to watch within the application miniTV. There are also videos from famous YouTubers like Ashish Chanchlani, Amit Bhadana, Filtercopy, Kabita’s kitchen, etc. There are also stand-up videos from Rahul Subramanian, Akash Gupta, Rajat Chauhan, Rahul dua, etc.
As of now, we can access it only through the banner in the application. But, soon it will be present in the Application sidebar (or) It may be a new application from Amazon. We need to wait and watch. when it comes to UI (User Interface) is like Amazon prime video at present.
Even parental controls have been added to miniTV. This service is absolutely free and you don’t need an Amazon Prime subscription to watch the videos or web series here on miniTV.
Amazon also confirmed that this will be ad-supported and will “Add many more new and exclusive videos” soon. Even, Flipkart has a similar service like this called Flipkart Video service. Which also have movies, web series, stand-up comedies Etc.
We need to wait and watch this will be successful (or) will be one of the Failures of amazon like Fire Phone.
