Is COVID-19 transforming theatres? Experts say a big yes for it. As the government locks all the theatres amid the COVID-19 effect, no one clearly knows when they are going to open them, some say it will take around 6 months to open the theatres but not sure on it. And it is expected to do less business though they open them, as the public was being forced to maintain the social distance. Facing these problems it is more difficult to open back and run the theatres, now business organizations coming up with a replacement to the theatres and it’s all about Drive-in theatres.
Will they trend? Many say yes again, as there will be very little risk of any transmission, many say that Drive-in theatres will rule the film industry in the future. Though it can bring back the colors for the industry, they’ll have to think about the existing theatres too as they invested a lot in multiplex theatres.
Though the first Drive-in theatre has been opened in 1915 in New Mexico, the trend doesn’t continue further as the closed theatres came with many developments, though there was more cost incurred.
The public now may see for the Drive-in theatres, as they need to maintain the social distance. As the investment for Drive-in theatre is considerably less, the investors may show interest towards it in the coming future. Will the industry look up to the Drive-in theatres? Will it serve the public as the closed theatres did? Let’s wait and watch for the decisions from the industry.
