Bollywood Actor Irrfan Ali Khan Passes Away at 53

Life is short if there was ever a moment to follow your passion and do something that matters to you, live the life in a way you’re remembered, so was the magnificent actor Sahabzade Irrfan Ali Khan one of the finest actors awarded with Padma Shri in 2011, and till date, he was for over 30 years into Indian cinema which earned him National film fare award and many accolades. A British film was the breakthrough in his career. Since then, he etched every character in our memories with sheer talent. From the passion in Paan Singh Tomar (2011) based on a true story of an athlete, his starring roles in the movie “THE LUNCHBOX”, his comedy in Piku, suspense thrillers like ‘TALVAR’ many more amazing diversified roles from amazing spider-man (2012), Life of pi (2012), Jurassic world (2015), and Inferno (2016).

His other notable roles were in slum dog millionaire (2008), New York (2009), Haider (2014), and Gunday (2014), and the television series in Treatment (2010). His highest-grossing Hindi film release came with the comedy-drama Hindi Medium (2017), which won him the film fare award for the best actor, and his floundering father role in his last movie Angrezi Meduim (2020) conveys his brilliance as an actor.

“Not how long, how well you lived is the primary thing” was the message he left us leaving his last breath who admitted to Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital with a colon infection, died this Wednesday afternoon. He was 53. The star battled a tumor for several months and returned to Mumbai some months ago after being treated in London.

It’s saddening that this day, we have to bring forward the news of him passing away. Irrfan khan was a strong soul, someone who fought till the very end and always inspired everyone who came close to him, and his last rites were performed in Mumbai, In life, we loved you, in death you showed nothing is permanent, In our hearts, you hold a place, no one else will ever fill. May God’s peace be with you. We all Cherish the memories you created with the world & will always remember Irrfan Ali Khan for his experience.
