Telangana government to re-energize ground water, relieves the pain of digging bore wells to irrigate farms, to beat scarcity of drinking water the world’s largest multi-stage, multi-purpose lift irrigation project Kaleshwaram project hit another milestone with the inauguration of KONDAPOCHAMMA RESERVOIR.
It is the 10th stage project as part of KLIP with investment of Rs.3500 crores with 15 TMC capacity dedicated for our Telangana people to irrigate drought prone areas reliant on monsoons, by Telangana with vision our Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao sir, to see our Telangana filled with blessing of Godavari.
(MEIL) Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited-showcased their skill of the world’s prominent technology breaking ice diverting water flow lifting it half a km high into air with this lift irrigation mechanism.

1. 1,832 km water supply route,
2. 1,531 km gravity canal,
3. 203 km tunnel routes, 20 lifts,
4. 19 pump houses,
5. 19 reservoirs with a storage capacity of 141 TMCs.
This konda pochamma reservoir is built in Siddipet 210 km away from river Godavari at the height of 618 meter’s above sea level., THE city known for water scarcity and droughts turns out to be a fortress of reservoirs today.
The reservoir receives water from the highest point markup pump ahead from mid maniar passing through canals of Annapurna Amangiri reservoir , ranga nayaka sagar taking diversion at Nalgonda pleasing thirst of Siddipet and being reason for tomorrow farming.
The crores of investment, the difficulties many families had to face in sacrificing the land, house will pay back if all other problems are genuinely addressed .
