Earthquake Update: “Earthquake in Karnataka was Fake alarm due to malfunction of software”, declared by Disaster Monitering Centre.

After six earthquakes hitting Delhi in the last two months, here comes another news on earthquakes hitting Indian states.

Early on Friday morning (5th of June) at 6: 55 am, Jamshedpur of Jharkhand and Hampi in Karnataka have been hit by an earthquakes at the same time with the magnitude of 4.7 and 4.0 on the Ritcher scale, respectively. ANI reported citing data from National centre Seismolog.

According to the reports, there are no further updates on any loss caused by the earthquake.Earlier this year earthquakes hit Delhi on 12th of April,2020.  There were again minor earthquakes of 3.2 magnitude felt on the Ritcher scale in the month of may.

According to experts, there may be a major earthquakes in Delhi in the coming days which could cause colossal damage.

While Geologists say that these minor tremors show that there will be a bigger incoming earthquake. The former head of Earthquake risk evaluation centre at Indian Meteorological department, Dr. A K Shukla, also shared that Delhi’s local fault system can produce an earthquakes of magnitude 6 to 6.5.

They say earthquakes last for about 10 – 30 seconds.
Seeing this, India need to gear up for unpredictable twists and turns in the coming days.
