Every Indian will be Vaccinated by the End of the Year: Union Minister

Vaccination (1)

Since the Covid-19 pandemic has started, India hasn’t been completely relieved. The total number of cases in India has reached up to 2.76 crores. The total number of people who have thankfully survived the deadly virus and recovered is 2.49 crores but the total number of deaths because of this virus has reached the mark of 3.19 lacs. Now, where does the vaccination take place?

In the past few months, there has been a hope of vaccines in India and the world with vaccines being available for the public which are considered effective to some extent on this virus, and with this, the vaccination drive has started all over the world.

According to the data 3.1 percent of India is being vaccinated. In recent times the growth of vaccination is not moving ahead and it’s creating chaos and a bad image of the government in the eyes of the public.

According to data from New York Times, India for every 100 people has only 15 vaccines, making it difficult to think how the vaccination drive will be successful *without vaccines*.

Vaccine supplies have become a very important topic and a topic of national health importance in India, with several states complaining that they don’t have sufficient doses to vaccinate both the age groups 18-44 and 45+.

With this issue rising among all the Indians the opposing party’s MP Rahul Gandhi has accused the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi of his failure in helping the people of the country in such a difficult time.

He claimed that less than 3 percent of the 130 crore population has been fully vaccinated and this is a failure of the ruling government. Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party have also raised some questions on the covaxin, one of the two vaccines available in India which is manufactured by Bharath Biotech.

For answering to this accusation by Rahul Gandhi, Union Minister, Prakash Javadekar on Friday said that India will be fully vaccinated till the end of this year. He also pointed back at Rahul Gandhi saying, “Rahulji… if you’re concerned about vaccination then pay attention to Congress-ruled states… there is a mess. They are not taking the quota given to them for 18-44-year-old beneficiaries from May 1.”

“India’s vaccination drive will be completed before 2021. The Health Ministry has given a blueprint. 108 crore people with 216 crore doses will be vaccinated by this December.” Said the Union Minister.

This statement of the Union Minister gave a big hope among Indians but has also raised many questions like how will the whole country of such a wide range of population will be vaccinated fully in such a short time whereas the recent statistics say something else?

Experts had given their views previously that it might take the end of 2022 for all the people of the country to get vaccinated. But this statement by the Union minister has surely given some hope.

The only question here is, “It’s not one of those election promises that each party in our country makes, right?”
