Highlights From Today’s PM Narendra Modi Speech

modi speech today

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on June 7, at 5pm. This speech came when India was battling the catastrophic and devastating second wave.

PM Modi adopted the centralised vaccination Policy scheme which will be implemented in a few weeks. He said that 25 percent of work related to COVID-19 vaccination with states will now be handled by the centre. The Centre and State will make preparations for new guidelines.

Since we all observed that private hospitals were charging a lot for vaccine doses, the Government took a step regarding this. The private hospitals can continue to get 25 percent of the vaccines but their service charge would be maximum at 150 per dose. This is a very good step at a time where people were facing a financial crisis and private hospitals charged huge amounts for the vaccines.

The Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) will be continued till diwali and free ration will be provided to around 80 crore people. The centre has also decided to provide free vaccines to those above 18 years starting from 21st June.

Along with all this, PM Modi announced that vaccine supply will increase because seven companies are making different types of vaccines. Trials for three are going on in an advanced stage. Trials for vaccination of children are also going on. To add this, the PM addressed that research on Nasal Vaccine is going on and if that becomes a success, the vaccinagy process will be much faster than usual.

PM Narendra Modi also remarked how the country was facing a terrible shortage of oxygen in the months of April & May but it left no stone unturned to procure it.  The government increased technical funds and various research labs were opened for vaccination.

Various leaders are responding to it like the Madhya Pradesh CM saying that he is expressing gratitude for the universal vaccination carried out by the Government of India and for the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. The citizens wish that all the decisions are carried smoothly and benefits.
