I Can’t Breathe: Hyderabad Covid-19 Patient dies complaining of hospital negligence

Government chest hospital board

Can’t breathe, they removed the ventilator. It’s been 3 hours, I asked and they said you had enough. I feel that my heart stopped beating, nothing left. Bye daddy, bye everyone” – these are the words spoke by a 35 years old man who died recently due to COVID-19 in Hyderabad. She literally said “Can’t Breathe”

Another day in 2020  another bad news for us. Probably it’s not the mistake of 2020. It’s the mistake of us, it’s a mistake of those who don’t react on issues. One more failure from the Government.

A 35-year-old man after admitting in the Chest hospital, Erragadda, Telangana, has died due to lack of ventilator. Before dying, he shared a video, expressing his pain and concern, and wishing his dad and everyone a goodbye.

In the video, the patient clearly stated that his ventilator is removed even though he asked for it and also clearly said Can’t Breathe. and as a result, he died due to cardiac arrest. The patient sent that video to his father and his father shared it with all.

As we all know, the current situation is worse than ever in Hyderabad, and no one cares. The media which has to work 24/7 on these issues is nowhere seen. If the media is working to show us the numbers, and just to translate the government statements, then they are not at all needed in society.

We can just follow the websites for the basic information. But people need to know what’s happening in Hyderabad right now.

Is the government really concerned? Well, if the answer is yes! Then it is not seen anywhere. The world-class city is short with ventilators right now. How funny! Government hospitals will not be seen after the government permitted private hospitals to deal with COVID-19. To be frank, the private hospitals too, are failing to deal with the count of the patients admitting daily.

This person who just died with a lack of ventilator was admitted to a private hospital. Coming back to the issue, the hospital management is saying that the patient was treated properly with the ventilator and died because of the cardiac arrest. But we can clearly see in that video that no ventilator is allotted to him.

And finally, allowing the private hospitals to deal with a pandemic, doesn’t mean that all the equipment should be allocated by them, the government should take the responsibility because it is not just the flu.

SPEAK OUT!
