Hyderabad is also entered the list as one of the hotspot cities in the Country. As migrants and foreign returnees are coming back to the state, the situation has become worse to handle. For the past few days, daily COVID positive cases are crossing hundred that too conducting very low tests.

Recently, the High court has ordered the Telangana government to conduct tests on all dead bodies in the hospital before leaving. Because, when a person is taking back a dead body from the hospital to their home or funeral, people including family members, friends, and neighbors will get affected if the dead body has COVID virus. So, this is a threatening situation.

ICMR Tests

Apart from this, ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research)  is conducting random tests for the survey to understand the infection. This random test is done to a person who has not been in contact with an infected one. Like selecting random people and testing them.

Already, ICMR has started its first phase Operation in 69 districts and 13 hotspot cities from 21 states across the country. Nalgonda, Jangaon, and Kamareddy are the three districts from Telangana out of 69, where around 1200 samples are collected and results are awaited. For this testing, ICMR organizes five teams including one of its staff, ASHA workers, local police, Nurses, and Village officials.

500 Covid-19 tests in Hyderabad

ICMR collaborating with NIN (National Institute of Nutrition) will collect 500 random samples from the adults in the City. There are 5 containment zones in Hyderabad, for every containment zone they select 100 random people.

GHMC Officials and State health authorities will support 10 teams and few coordinators from ICMR-NIN. These tests will undergo on May 30 and 31. Later, ICMR will conduct a few more phase operations, according to the reports.

Community spread will get increased after this lockdown ends and many types of research warn that the next few months this situation will get worse. NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Science) reports 50 percent population of our country could be infected for this Virus by the end of December.
