Lenovo has released their world’s first foldable PC Called ‘ThinkPad X1 Fold‘, this pc was initially unveiled at CES 2020, and promised to introduce an entirely different product.
This allows users to use the ThinkPad X1 Fold like a large tablet, a tiny laptop, or as something in-between, like book that you can hold very comfortably.
The highlight of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is its foldable display that the company says will “reclassify how we draw in with innovations”. The gadget includes a 13.3-inch adaptable QXGA (2,048 x 1,536) touchscreen OLED show with a 4:3 aspect ratio, 300 nit’s high brightness and 95% of the DCI-P3 shading extent. The PC comes with Dolby Vision and powered by Intel’s penta-center i5-L16G7 processor with integrated
Intel UHD11th gen graphics. There’s additionally 8GB of LPDDR4X 4,267MHz RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe-NVMe M.2 SSD storage.
The form factor means you can use the computer in a range of different ways. Pop-out the kickstand and prop it up with an optional Bluetooth keyboard, and get a pseudo-laptop or desktop experience. We can Fold it in half and place the keyboard on the lower section with a netbook sized mini laptop.
It includes a battery capacity of 50Wh and the company claims that it can last up to 8.5 hours on a single charge. It supports USB type connectivity, WIFI 6, WLAN 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.1, and 5G sub- 6GHz with 4G LTE.
Whereas, wired connectivity includes two USB and type C Gen 2 ports. Dolby speaker system is the first impression to this device.
