Lucifer Season 6: Rock or Flop conclusion?

The Devil itself is God.

The wait is over because season 6, the final season of Lucifer, is finally here. Being the acting God is no trivial job, even for Lucifer Morningstar. But now that he has his friends and the ever-amazing Chloe Decker on his side, nothing seems impossible. Unfortunately, after a complete viewing of the season, we can say it is definitely not what was expected.

For those who haven’t seen Lucifer, let me brief a summary for you. The series is about the Devil himself, Lucifer. After ruling hell for millions of years, Lucifer leaves his life in hell behind and settles on Earth as a rich business owner. Season 6 is the final season of this series and has had us all waiting since the dawn of 2021 for its premiere. Lucifer is on the way to becoming the next God following the retirement of his father. But you didn’t really think it would be that simple, did you?

In the event of a story line, we would state it was very well written and satisfying. And the various plot twists were just at the right moment. The pacing of all the episodes is just perfect. The story is explained beautifully, giving each of the characters their own time and importance to establish and fulfill their roles. It never, even for a minute, felt escalated or slow. The show not only showed us about the protagonist but also followed through the lives of the rest of the characters, and gave a nice closure and arc. A few of the wrap-ups were satisfying and fan favourites, but others will bring tears in your eyes.

Just like the other seasons, the director did a very good job in character development of all the members in the show. We won’t be giving any spoilers, but following this season’s story, Lucifer and Chloe had to revisit their past lives to pick up the pieces to solve the mystery. We experienced how well they turned themselves around, the way they were at the beginning of the show and right now, the relationships they developed with each other. All this will make you very emotional.

Talking about emotions, all the actors did a superb job. Performance was on point as usual, and the new addition of Brianna Hildebrand as Rory was a great enhancement to the squad. It really felt like goodbye coming from the team. As a TV show who suffered a lot, they really went with a bang and made sure everyone remembers them for long.

The cinematography was, as usual, really well done. We really fell in love with the animated episode and it was clearly a very exceptional and clever addition to the season. It was fun to watch and thoroughly enjoyable. The most appreciable quality of the show has to be how well they balance humour and seriousness throughout the season and that’s what makes it so different from the rest of the shows. And don’t worry, you will get your dose of murder mysteries in the show, unchanged from the rest of the seasons.

The finale was remarkable and totally unexpected. And we can proudly say this season has to be the best season of all. We don’t know about you, but the final episode almost got us to tear up. The fact that there won’t be any more of the Lucifer and Chloe partnerships has us all devastated. So, what are you waiting for, go stream Lucifer now on Netflix.
