Baba ka Dhaba. Trust me writing this article gives me goosebumps and the same happens when you read it too. The only hashtag which is trending on the internet currently is #babakadhaba.
Baba ka Dhaba which was not known until yesterday has now become the most popular Dhaba in the country. This Dhaba is run by an 80-year old couple by selling some tasty food in a small closed shop in front of a temple of Malviya Nagar, Delhi.
But due to the current situation in the country due to COVID-19 and the lockdown, there are no customers who are visiting the stall and the couple is facing tough times in making a living.
An Instagrammer Gaurav Wasan (@youtubeswadofficial) who makes videos on food and travel had posted a video about a couple who are struggling to run the stall and showcased how the elderly couple make the food so tasty and still doesn’t get sold.
The most emotional part of the video which triggered the audience was where the 80-year old man broke down into tears by showing his earnings for that day which was not even Rs.100.
After the video was posted on Instagram and Youtube there was a huge response from the social media and the video went viral which gained around 13.6 million views on Instagram, 1.72 lakh views on Facebook, 30 million on Youtube and approximately 4 million views on Twitter.
After the video got viral over social media, people from across the country including celebrities, creators, politicians and many other common people came down to the Dhaba to provide as much as the help they can to the elderly couple.
Most of the time social media is always portrayed as a negative influence on the users but this video has just proved that social media can be used to reach out to people and help them and make their life better.
And the whole day on social media was such a joyful one filled with positivity and good vibes after the pictures of the elderly couple were posted where they smiled and looked so happy after seeing so many people who came down to help them and provide support.

Now , baba ka dhaba is listed on Zomato and that’s a great work by the Company.
