It doesn’t matter what college we are in. It depends on us how we make our college successful. With so many new changes, how well we take it all in and adapt to those.
While in college one of the prime focuses should be about gaining skills. Skills are something that is going to help us in real life. Our collection grades also matter a lot but it is not the only factor.
While in college, our focus is to take up as many new things as we can. Gaining new skills, working on new habits should be our goal. In our teenage years, we should set habits, not goals. We should focus on skills.
In college, we should follow the Trial and Error method. Our focus should be more on building ourselves, sharpening our public speaking skills, and learning them. With that, internships also form a huge part of college life. It is this method by which we know where our interests lie. Internships don’t always have to be your subject of study but maybe something different and creative too. In college life we must learn to invest more rather than spend. This will build a good habit for the future. It’s all about exploring your options. Taking initiatives is very important.
Taking up so many opportunities can be a little overwhelming, so taking breaks is very much required. Having an extracurricular and doing something creative calms our mind. Over committing yourself can affect your mental health.
One thing every student should learn is to be mindful of their circle. There are a lot of things that’s going to deviate yourselves from focusing. The students are going to force you to drink, have weeds, and will influence you to not take studies seriously. There is going to be peer pressure.
While in college, we should not forget these things and choose our groups properly. This is the time we gain the maturity about the surrounding people. We realise the meaning of friendships and networks and then again we grow mature in our relationships.
From going to classes to classes, having 4 am breakdowns, having one of the best moments, college life has it all.
To all the fellow students, college can be an overwhelmed process and the experiences gained there will be one of the best things.
College life is going to prepare you for the real life ahead. It’s a rollercoaster ride. Brace yourselves for this overwhelming journey.
