The one plant which can be seen in every Hindu household is the TULSI.

It is a very easy to grow and also widely seen in India.  Tulsi is one of the most revered, holy plant in Hinduism and not only that, it also has its place in the ancient science of Ayurveda. We commonly find Tulsi in two varieties. The Lakshmi Tulsi which is green colored, and the purple-hued Krishna Tulsi.

This inexpensive herb comes loaded with a lot of benefits for humans.  We know Tulsi for  strengthening immunity, fighting bacterial & viral infections to treating various hair and skin disorders .

Tulsi leaves, when used regularly, can help resolve a host of lifestyle- and health-related issues.

Tulsi plant grows in rich and moist soil with good enough sunlight. Consume it raw, plucked fresh from the plant. You can even add it in your tea or a small cup of warm water.

I advise it to take these leaves in the cold seasons like winter and rain and not in summer as the these leaves warms up your body from within.

For kids: They can have up to 5 – 8 leaves per day, and no more than that .

For Adults: They can have up to 20 – 25 leaves per day.
