Here are 5 interesting things to know about Durgam Chervu Cable Bridge:
1. Time Span to build Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge
Usually, bridges that are very complicated to construct will take more time. But, this Cable Bridge is taking just 22 months to complete the work. This construction is handled by L&T Company and many workers are involved in this project. The total length of the bridge is 764.38 meters and it’s India’s longest Connectivity Bridge made with a budget of 184 Crores. The main purpose of this bridge is to reduce the distance for the people where many Work Force is working in the IT and other sectors. The average time taken to reach the IT Junction from Jubilee Hills Road No 45 is between 25 to 30 min. After this bridge gets operational, it takes around 10 minutes.
2. Hanging Bridge and Water Absorbing Road
Most of the Bridges will have multiple pillars. But this is quite interesting it has only two pillars, for each pillar it has 13 cables on each side. That cable will stand as a support to the pillars and hang the bridge. That’s the specialty of the bridge, which we call it as a Cable-Stayed Bridge. On every flyover water gets stagnated during rainfall, to overcome this situation it is the water-absorbing road that has pores on each side.
3. LED Lights
It took around 9 crores for lighting which is designed with 40,000 LED’S on 26 stayed cables to shine bright with different invisible and colorful light combinations of purple, Green, and White. These multi-colored lighting with different themes on cable bridge is china-based tech designed with crash barriers to operate lighting automatically through special software.

Yes, this is real. Our Minister, KTR instructed this bridge should be useful for all the people who walk, cycle, and Vehicle transportation. So, GHMC is making this happen and on both sides, this is going to available.

Although it is a tourism spot has facilities like camping, trekking, and boating.
