The 19-Year-Old girl who was gang-raped by 4 men in Hathras, Died

Hathras Gang Rape

The Girl who has been gang raped in Hathras in Up.

The 19-year-old girl who was gang-raped by 4 men in Hathras in UP died yesterday and the body was cremated at 3 am last night by the policemen.

We all know what had happened with the girl, how much she had suffered in recent days after the issue. And the sad part of the situation comes where the police didn’t handover or permitted the victims’ family to get her body to home one last time.

The police at 2:30 am locked up the victim’s family and cremated her around 3 am.

India has been witnessing more issues in providing security to women and the lockdown has no break to these crimes. We have seen 17-year-old gang-raped, killed, and thrown naked on a rail track in Telangana, we have seen 7-year-old Naima who was gang-raped and killed in Mumbai, and many more crimes against women in the lockdown.

But the social activists, feminists, and the so-called Indian media didn’t dare to show these crimes to the people as their TRP ratings were high against the pandemic at that time.

Coming to the gang-rape in Hathras, the UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has formed a Special Interrogation Team (SIT) of 3 members and it will be submitting a clear report on the case in the coming 7 days. The Government’s reaction against the case shows the support they are giving to the victim’s family.

What has been projected:

Commenting on an issue, without even thinking about what they are projecting or how they are projecting the issue has become easy in social media. Social activists, Influencers, Feminists have all the rights to express their views or comment on these crimes against women.

Indian media and some so-called news channels titled this heartbreaking issue as “The 19-year-old Dalit girl who was allegedly gang-raped by 4 Upper caste men in Hathras, Died”, where we can say that, “The 19-year-old girl who was allegedly gang-raped by 4 cruel men in Hathras, Died.

Youth and the Celebrities who are sharing these titled posts in social media need to understand that activists or feminists should try to get justice against these criminal activities but not to get the personal attention or the TRP’s.

Expressing our views on a rape case is important but it has nothing to do with the caste. Many news channels are telecasting about the tweets of Dalit politicians, though those politicians may not see the issue in that way. What if I say, the people or social activists, or the feminists, or the media or the Dalit politicians will not react if this issue had happened with the Upper Caste Girl?

Rape victims, irrespective of their caste need the same support from everyone of us and the suspects, irrespective of their caste and age should be treated in the same way. We have seen how Gujarat’s Gang-rape case has been turned in to caste conflict, led to mob attack, and left one dead in 2013

To some of the social activists, feminists, and the so-called media, we request you to concentrate more on how to bring justice rather than getting attention for your personal blogs.
