While the world wrestles with the coronavirus and climate change, there’s another challenge facing humanity: aging. As we live longer lives, more of our last years are marked by poor health, which means increased suffering and higher healthcare bills. But what if I tell you that old age of us is going to be much more energetic? Some scientists believe we might solve this problem, and make later life more enjoyable.
Scientists have conducted an experiment in which the volunteers were given clean oxygen for 90 minutes in a day, and 5 days a week in a pressurised chamber. This whole experiment went on for 3 months and the results were dumbfounding. Scientist claimed that they have carried out the process of reverse aging with 35 volunteers.
In the scientific language, the last end of the chromosome that guards it from the damage caused by replication is the telomere. Every time during the replication the telomere comes forward to protect it by taking all the damage from it which shortens it. Gradually, with each passing day, they become shorter. And there came a point when they shorten too much that the chromosomes cannot replicate which leads to the setup of the aging process.
But this is not the first attempt by humans to carry out reverse aging, they have been trying this out for a very long time. Besides, with the advancement in technology and the medical sector, over the decades we’re able to increase our lifespan to 73 years approx which is higher than the life expectancy in the 1950s.
It is to be believed that about 2000 years ago, many egyptian queens tried to stay young by drinking Donkey’s milk. And this might sound Bizarre to you, but more than half of total donkey’s milk production in India is being used in beauty products by ages and it costs around Rs. 5000 – 7000 per litre.
Many industrialists and scientists even claimed a few decades ago that there would be a point of time on earth where science and technology would allow humans to live for over 400 years.
But do you really think that we can win death from our lives? Absolutely not. Death is an inevitable phase which eventually consumes each and everyone of us. Living in this materialistic world, human have become insanely greedy, but you should know that everything or life on this earth has an end. Hence, it’s better to stay conscious in every moment to enjoy life as much as we can and drop out the thought of increasing our life expectancy just to waste a little more time! If you want to increase your lifespan just workout, eat healthy, live in a pollution free environment, stay happy, and smile often.
