All we can witness in the Hyderabad city from the past two days is continuous heavy rains and thundersqualls.
Some of the places in the city are flooded so adversely that the public had to either move out of their residencies or stay in for the minimum safety from the water which has been clogged in all the areas.
But one has to also know the reason behind the continuous rainfall in the state and the causes.
The reason behind the continuous rainfall in the state is due to the deep depression which is formed over the Bay of Bengal causing rainfall in the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
These depressions are called mid-latitude cyclones and are basically at the low-pressure areas located between the latitudes. In a cyclonic disturbance if the wind sustains the maximum speed then it leads to a deep depression.
So basically, the deep depression is a stage below the cyclonic circulation which intensifies into a cyclone. The air in the depression rises so the clouds and rainfall are formed.
At this stage, the winds are stronger and therefore these depressions bring in unsettled weather and rainfall. During this situation, the fisherman is warned about the sea condition in advance about venturing into the sea.
There was a yellow alert being issued by the Indian Meteorological Department for the Hyderabad city a day ago as now the deep depression is moving towards the state of Maharashtra and heavy rainfall is expected in the districts of the states which included Vikarabad, Siddipet, and Jagaon.
It was also observed that the city has witnessed the highest rainfall ever in the past 24 hours in the state. And as per the weather updates, the depression has moved towards the west northwards and now is lying in the interior of Karnataka and Maharashtra.
From the updates received from the IMD, there will be extremely heavy rainfalls in the areas of Maharashtra, South Konkan, Goa, and interiors of Karnataka, and thundersqualls are expected too.
