After everything is going worse, the attack on doctors at Gandhi Hospital has taken everyone’s attention.
What actually happened?
A COVID-19 patient at Gandhi Hospital was warned not to remove his oxygen mask as his condition was very critical. But eventually, the patient did it, he removed his oxygen mask to go to the washroom and died on his way back. This happened on Tuesday at 7:30 AM.
What went viral?
On Tuesday the news spread all over the state and it reached to the public that the patient died as he didn’t get the oxygen in time. And everyone thought that it was totally the doctor’s fault.
Hereafter the patient died, Dr.Vikas Reddy was attacked by some people for the same reason.
What is reality?
Okay! Take a deep breath and get ready to read the reality of Telangana State Government.
Gandhi Hospital is the only hospital that is treating COVID-19 patients in Telangana State. And the doctors here are working their ass off to cure the patients, though there is no vaccine or the medicine for COVID-19.
Video surfacing a lady doctor explaining how the things are going in Gandhi Hospital will make us cry. Reports say some patients who were discharged, sharing their experience at the Gandhi Hospital, were saying that it is better to die rather than coming to Gandhi Hospital. Are we so poor to afford some more beds in other hospitals?
Though the government was lifting the lockdown for revenue’s sake, it is so disgusting to operate everything from only one building.
On Wednesday the protest from 300 junior doctors from Gandhi Hospital broke out. They blocked the road passing by Gandhi Hospital. And they are fighting for their lives and for us too.
To the people who attacked the doctors, I just want to say, fight with the government for not offering equipment, for not providing beds, for not testing more. Because doctors walk on government decisions and it is not the doctor’s fault.
Every one of us cried, felt bad for what happened with a pregnant elephant, but now it is the matter of hundreds of lives of doctors. Do not forget they are working every minute, leaving their families at home and not caring about them.
